Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Commanders came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.

The Croskey-Merritt reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. On value alone, Emmanwori makes the weekend a net positive.

The Commanders indulged a want in Winston Jr. while a need in edge rusher and quarterback stayed open. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
