Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B
ValueA- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Bills let Stutsman fall and pounced. Final grade: B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Bills were there to profit. Danny Stutsman, the No. 86 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 176th pick. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick29 Rnd1 Kenneth Grant
In slot 29 they get an anchor for the defensive front at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick60 Rnd2 Jalon Walker
Jalon Walker in pick 60 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick61 Rnd2 Jihaad Campbell
The board fumbled Jihaad Campbell all the way to No. 61, and they scooped it up. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick108 Rnd4 Sebastian Castro
Sebastian Castro at pick No. 108 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick130 Rnd4 Elic Ayomanor
Steal is underselling it; Elic Ayomanor at the 130th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick169 Rnd5 Cam Skattebo
A running back of that caliber at Round 5, Pick 32 is the definition of value, full stop. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick172 Rnd5 Willie Lampkin
They paid sticker price for Willie Lampkin in the 172nd overall pick, and that is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick176 Rnd6 Danny Stutsman
You do not let a linebacker like Danny Stutsman reach the Round 6 slot and blink. They did not. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick204 Rnd6 Ricardo Hallman
A straight-up fair deal on Ricardo Hallman at the 204th pick, value and slot in agreement. A minor need, but a need all the same.
