The Dolphins lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. Put together, it is a D.

If Ugwu pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Phillips at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The Dolphins paired the rookies with proven help, Baker Mayfield leading the way.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
