Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Bills.

For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Bills walked out of the weekend still thin at interior defensive lineman, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons.

The Ugwoegbu reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Linebacker is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick29 Rnd1 Tyler Nubin
In pick No. 29 they get a ballhawk on the back end. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick61 Rnd2 Zach Frazier
Zach Frazier in the Round 2 slot is fair value, right on his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick99 Rnd3 Khyree Jackson
Khyree Jackson in the 99th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick129 Rnd4 Cedric Gray
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Cedric Gray. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick162 Rnd5 Curtis Jacobs
They paid a round early for Curtis Jacobs in pick 162, more than the board wanted. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick166 Rnd5 Frank Gore Jr.
No drama and no debate, Frank Gore Jr. went about where he belonged in Round 5, Pick 30. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick198 Rnd6 Isaiah Williams
A tidy little value on Isaiah Williams in the 198th overall pick, a step better than break-even. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick202 Rnd6 De'Corian Clark
They did well to land De'Corian Clark in No. 202, just ahead of his grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick207 Rnd6 David Ugwoegbu
David Ugwoegbu at the 207th overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A fine player at a spot low on the priority list.
Pick250 Rnd7 Devin Leary
A straight-up fair deal on Devin Leary at the Round 7 slot, value and slot in agreement. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
