The board owed the Bills one, and it paid up: Chris Paul Jr., the No. 114 name on the board, sitting there at Round 6, Pick 29 like a gift left on the doorstep.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
