FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Bengals. You can draft well and still miss the point. The Bengals did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to tight end, which was the need that mattered most. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Tampa. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick33
Rnd2
Brian Thomas Jr.
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Brian Thomas Jr.. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick49
Rnd2
T.J. Tampa
A tidy bit of business in the 49th overall pick, where T.J. Tampa graded well above the range. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick65
Rnd3
Adisa Isaac
They took Adisa Isaac at par in Round 3, Pick 1, which is nothing to complain about. A minor itch, scratched.
