The Browns treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending No. 67 on Damien Martinez a full 81 spots early. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. So much rides on Shedeur Sanders that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, cornerback very much included.
