The tape said wait; the Patriots did not. Kain Medrano went at No. 220, a good 112 picks before the board was ready. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. Landing Ezeiruaku that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The Justin Jefferson pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
