There is conviction, and then there is this. The Patriots took Kain Medrano a full 112 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D- is the result.

However the rest shakes out, Moore at that price is a win they earned. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere.

They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
