Nobody had Kain Medrano this high, and it is not close. The Patriots reached 137 spots to get him at the 176th overall pick. The process wobbled, and the D- is where it lands.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. Mukuba falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
