The phones sank the Patriots this weekend: D-.

The Patriots went off the board in a big way for Noah Daniels, 133 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. The Loveland pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
