Nobody had Bilhal Kone this high, and it is not close. The Patriots reached 68 spots to get him at the Round 5 slot. It nets out a thoroughly average C.

That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The trade table is where this weekend went wrong.

The A.J. Brown pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

The verdict is a shrug for now, with the swing picks left to write the real ending.
