A costly weekend of dealing drags the Patriots to a D-.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Patriots reached some 93 spots for Kain Medrano, and value like that does not grow back. It grades a D-, and the process earned it.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Mukuba.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
