Larceny in pick 61 lands the Rams a B-, Johnson and all.

You build a draft on nights like this. Tae Johnson had no business being available in slot 61, and the Rams did the only sane thing and turned in the card. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They are betting Craver proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick13 Rnd1 Trevor Goosby
In pick 13 they get a blindside protector, even if it was a touch early. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick29 Rnd1 Mario Craver
In Round 1, Pick 29 they get a true top target, a steep price for the projection. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick61 Rnd2 Tae Johnson
They robbed the room for Tae Johnson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick93 Rnd3 Trinidad Chambliss
A premium they did not need to pay, Trinidad Chambliss a notch or two before his time. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick167 Rnd5 Lawson Luckie
Lawson Luckie in the Round 5 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick205 Rnd6 Jake Guarnera
A offensive lineman of that caliber at pick No. 205 is the definition of value, full stop. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick208 Rnd6 Maraad Watson
Maraad Watson in the 208th pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick232 Rnd7 Kamari Wilson
Kamari Wilson in slot 232 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick250 Rnd7 Shamar Porter
By-the-book stuff, Shamar Porter at pick 250 squarely in line with his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick256 Rnd7 Kelby Collins
A conviction pick on Kelby Collins at the 256th pick that the board grades a round light. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
