Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Commanders spent the 230th pick on Dijon Johnson, a name most had 35 spots down the list.

The Beck pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
