The Cowboys torched the value chart for Gunner Stockton, taking him 38 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Getting McDonald where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
