The Broncos lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again.

Bo Nix is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. It is not that Smith is a bad player; it is that the Broncos had louder needs to answer first.

They are betting Smith proves the room right and everyone else wrong. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Bywater.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
