The Broncos finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a D-.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Broncos shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.

So much rides on Jayden Daniels that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The Smith pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with interior defensive lineman and running back still on the board. Getting Smith where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. The Hopper pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
