The war room fell hard for Sam Hartman, and it showed at Round 7, Pick 7: 33 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Getting Jenkins where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
