The Patriots went off the board in a big way for Kain Medrano, 108 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. Some smart calls, some head-scratchers, and a C in the wash.

Ransom at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close.
