A sensible, unshowy class lands the Bengals a B+.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Akheem Mesidor, 134 picks early at the Round 6 slot.

They banked enough surplus on Simon to cover a lot of smaller sins. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with tight end the one that mattered most.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
