The Broncos let Polk fall and pounced. Final grade: D-.

The Broncos lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. Hard to defend, and the D- reflects that.

They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They are betting Milton III proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The Polk pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
