You can draft well and still miss the point. The Patriots did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to edge rusher, which was the need that mattered most.

That Arnold pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
