You could see the war room lean forward. Upton Stout at the Round 7 slot is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

The Simpkins III reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
