Mafah should have been long gone. The 49ers pounced, and earned a B.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Phil Mafah tumbling to the 49ers in the Round 7 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

If Dellinger pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
