You could see the war room lean forward. Smael Mondon Jr. at Round 6, Pick 15 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. They are betting Presley proves the room right and everyone else wrong. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
