The 49ers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Nicholas Singleton, the No. 99 name on the board, in the Round 6 slot. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

Reaching for Griffith left real value on the table behind him. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
