Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall A
ValueA- NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureA+
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Dolphins and Moore: A.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Dolphins were there to profit. Braelin Moore, the No. 183 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick No. 242.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Dolphins clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Dylan Stewart and all.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Dylan Stewart
In pick 22 they get a premier pass rusher at a price that makes it sweeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick35 Rnd2 CJ Carr
A quiet steal in pick No. 35: CJ Carr for less than the market said. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick55 Rnd2 Jordan Seaton
They robbed the room for Jordan Seaton here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick67 Rnd3 Trey'Dez Green
A top-tier tight end at a bargain, Trey'Dez Green in No. 67, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick112 Rnd4 Luke Montgomery
Luke Montgomery at slot 112 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick142 Rnd5 Tony Rojas
Value with a capital V on Tony Rojas in the 142nd pick, a genuine coup. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick157 Rnd5 Taylor Wein
Taylor Wein at the Round 5 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick163 Rnd5 Cooper Barkate
Cooper Barkate in the 163rd overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick182 Rnd6 Hollywood Smothers
They paid sticker price for Hollywood Smothers in pick 182, and that is fine. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick242 Rnd7 Braelin Moore
Circle this one: Braelin Moore at the 242nd overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick255 Rnd7 Jake Guarnera
They will replay Jake Guarnera at the Round 7 slot for years; that is how good the value is. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
