There is reaching, and then there is CJ West at pick No. 135. The Dolphins jumped the board by 50 and dared it to prove them wrong. It lands right in the middle: a C+, no more, no less.

The Monangai steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Quarterback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The back end got a real overhaul.

In the end, a coin-flip class: fine today, with a wide range of outcomes ahead.
