You could see the war room lean forward. Jay Higgins at pick 180 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

They are betting White III proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
