The Patriots spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Maxwell Hairston, the No. 77 name on the board, in No. 113.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

They are betting Biggers proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The veteran additions, Tyler Smith chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
