The Bengals got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D-.

There is reaching, and then there is DeWayne Carter at slot 173. The Bengals jumped the board by 51 and dared it to prove them wrong. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D-.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They banked enough surplus on Williams to cover a lot of smaller sins.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
