The Patriots went off the board in a big way for Jason Henderson, 115 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

The Patriots indulged a want in Paul Jr. while a need in interior defensive lineman and quarterback stayed open. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

The Paul Jr. pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly.
