The Patriots looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Noah Daniels at the Round 7 slot regardless, 130 picks early. It lands right in the middle: a C, no more, no less.

The Grant pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
