The Patriots put a flag in the ground for Oluwafemi Oladejo, 108 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. A D that will need time and luck to look better.

They banked enough surplus on Tuten to cover a lot of smaller sins. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
