You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Texans did exactly that with Jackson Slater in pick No. 79.

Arnold falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The skill positions did well by the weekend.
