The phones sank the Bears this weekend: C.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Bears reached some 38 spots for Jaden Hicks, and value like that does not grow back.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

Getting Burton where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Call it incomplete, and check back in a couple of seasons.
