Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Raiders robbed the room for Torrence. Final grade: B-.

Thirty-one other rooms let Ro Torrence slide, and the Raiders were the ones holding the card at Round 7, Pick 3. Highway robbery. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Reaching for Greenfield left real value on the table behind him.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick13 Rnd1 Jer'Zhan Newton
In Round 1, Pick 13 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher. A real need, handled.
Pick44 Rnd2 T.J. Tampa
No edge and no loss on T.J. Tampa in pick No. 44; it is a wash and a sensible one. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick77 Rnd3 Xavier Legette
Good price on Xavier Legette in pick 77, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick112 Rnd4 Spencer Rattler
Spencer Rattler at the 112th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick148 Rnd5 Tommy Eichenberg
Fair-plus on Tommy Eichenberg, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick208 Rnd6 Garret Greenfield
They jumped the gun on Garret Greenfield, taking him earlier than his grade liked. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick223 Rnd7 Ro Torrence
Ro Torrence in the Round 7 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick229 Rnd7 Frank Gore Jr.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Frank Gore Jr. in the 229th pick. A need, and now a little less of one.
