Call it larceny. Jeffrey Bassa sat on the board until No. 231, and the Buccaneers did not need to be asked twice. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

They are betting Griffith proves the room right and everyone else wrong. It is not that Carter is a bad player; it is that the Buccaneers had louder needs to answer first.

A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
