The phones sank the Dolphins this weekend: D-. Nobody else had Jackson Hawes anywhere near pick No. 135. The Dolphins did, by 115 spots, and that gap is the whole story.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
Landing Winston Jr. that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
