Draft Grade — Buccaneers
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesB FutureB-
Good, not great, for the Buccaneers: B.

Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Kyle Williams at the Round 4 slot is 45 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

Tuten falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with interior defensive lineman the one that mattered most.

Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick22 Rnd1 Jahdae Barron
In the 22nd overall pick they get an island corner. A real need, handled.
Pick53 Rnd2 Donovan Ezeiruaku
Donovan Ezeiruaku at pick 53 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick84 Rnd3 Chris Paul Jr.
A tidy little value on Chris Paul Jr. in the 84th pick, a step better than break-even. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick86 Rnd3 Darius Alexander
Darius Alexander in Round 3, Pick 22 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick127 Rnd4 Kyle Williams
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Kyle Williams. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick157 Rnd5 Seth McLaughlin
They went early on Seth McLaughlin in pick No. 157, and the value did not follow. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick181 Rnd6 Bhayshul Tuten
They robbed the room for Bhayshul Tuten here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick201 Rnd6 Jordan Hancock
Jordan Hancock in the 201st overall pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick235 Rnd7 Carson Vinson
Carson Vinson at pick 235 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
