Draft Grade — Browns
Overall D
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesF FutureB-
The Browns drew a line under the quarterback search with Ewers: D.

The phones were a trap the Browns kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal.

Everything downstream of Quinn Ewers depends on Quinn Ewers, and the building knows it. Every board in the league had Wease Jr. lower, and that gap is the story.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.

Pick Analysis
Pick11 Rnd1 Quinn Ewers
In the 11th overall pick they get the arm they will build around. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick49 Rnd2 Josh Conerly Jr.
They jumped the gun on Josh Conerly Jr., taking him earlier than his grade liked. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick81 Rnd3 Dasan McCullough
This one needs a full-page explanation: Dasan McCullough in the Round 3 slot, miles early. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick101 Rnd4 Donovan Edwards
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Donovan Edwards at the 101st pick. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick133 Rnd5 Dylan Fairchild
Dylan Fairchild in pick No. 133 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick177 Rnd6 Theo Wease Jr.
Value said wait; Theo Wease Jr. in slot 177 says they were not listening. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick209 Rnd7 Armand Membou
Armand Membou at Round 7, Pick 17 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
