Bassa should have been long gone. The Packers pounced, and earned a B.

The Packers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Jeffrey Bassa, the No. 132 name on the board, in pick 200. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.
