You can hear the double-takes from here. The Dolphins took Hayden Conner at No. 231, roughly 40 spots before his name belonged. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. The Winston Jr. pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher and linebacker still on the board. Landing Watts that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
