Edwards should have been long gone. The Commanders pounced, and earned a B.

When a board-topper like Donovan Edwards slides to pick No. 238, you do not overthink it, and the Commanders did not. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

If Gillotte pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Donovan Edwards at pick No. 238 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
