Somebody in pick No. 138 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The 49ers sat still while Tai Felton, the No. 82 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

Reaching for Jones left real value on the table behind him. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
