Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Eagles did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-.

The Cody Simon pick is the one that will follow the Eagles into the fall. They took him 37 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

Getting Dike where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick32 Rnd1 Nic Scourton
Nic Scourton in pick 32 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick64 Rnd2 Xavier Watts
Xavier Watts at Round 2, Pick 32 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick96 Rnd3 Cody Simon
Cody Simon at No. 96 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick134 Rnd4 Chimere Dike
The board fumbled Chimere Dike all the way to the 134th pick, and they scooped it up. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick161 Rnd5 Elijah Roberts
A wild overpay on Elijah Roberts in the Round 5 slot, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick164 Rnd5 Raheim Sanders
Raheim Sanders at the 164th overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick165 Rnd5 Jalen Rivers
Jalen Rivers at Round 5, Pick 27 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick168 Rnd5 Logan Brown
Logan Brown in pick 168 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The roster fit checks out.
