The Steelers won the night they stopped Collins from sliding. Grade: B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Steelers were there to profit. Alfred Collins, the No. 62 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 223rd overall pick. No fireworks, but a solid B.

The cost of the Dart reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They will regret leaving safety for another day if the season turns on it.

On the needs board they went 5 of 9, with quarterback the one that mattered most. Nothing gained and nothing lost at the table.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
