Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueB+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Packers cashed the board's mistake on Williams: B.

When a board-topper like Kyle Williams slides to Round 7, Pick 34, you do not overthink it, and the Packers did not. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick23 Rnd1 Tetairoa McMillan
In slot 23 they get a No. 1 receiver, and a steal at that.
Pick54 Rnd2 Alfred Collins
Alfred Collins in the 54th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick87 Rnd3 Donovan Jackson
Nothing to complain about; Donovan Jackson went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick124 Rnd4 Jared Wilson
A offensive lineman of that caliber at the 124th overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick159 Rnd5 Cody Simon
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Cody Simon in Round 5, Pick 21, plain and simple. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick198 Rnd6 Oronde Gadsden II
Oronde Gadsden II slid further than he should have, and No. 198 is lovely value for the tight end. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick237 Rnd7 Jordan Hancock
They robbed the room for Jordan Hancock here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick250 Rnd7 Kyle Williams
Kyle Williams in pick 250 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The roster fit checks out.
