Draft Grade — Packers
Overall B
ValueA NeedB TradesC+ FutureB
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Packers and Ramsey: B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Packers were there to profit. Kamari Ramsey, the No. 38 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 4 slot. The bottom line is a respectable B.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse. Trading back for volume was the quiet throughline of their weekend.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick34 Rnd2 Tetairoa McMillan
A wide receiver of that caliber at the 34th overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick56 Rnd2 Tyler Warren
Tyler Warren slipping to No. 56 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick88 Rnd3 Benjamin Morrison
Somehow Benjamin Morrison was still sitting there in Round 3, Pick 24, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick104 Rnd4 Darien Porter
Darien Porter in the 104th pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick125 Rnd4 Tory Horton
They will replay Tory Horton at pick 125 for years; that is how good the value is. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick134 Rnd4 Kamari Ramsey
Taking Kamari Ramsey in pick No. 134 is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick160 Rnd5 Jake Majors
The board fumbled Jake Majors all the way to slot 160, and they scooped it up. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick190 Rnd6 Cody Simon
Steal is underselling it; Cody Simon at the Round 6 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick195 Rnd6 Domani Jackson
Domani Jackson in No. 195 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick199 Rnd6 Zane Durant
They robbed the room for Zane Durant here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick237 Rnd7 Jonah Monheim
Jonah Monheim at the 237th pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick250 Rnd7 Jack Kiser
Jack Kiser at the Round 7 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
